Where do lessons take place?
In-car lessons happen on local streets around your city selection (San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Berkeley, Daly City). We choose routes that gradually increase complexity.
Do I need a permit before starting?
Yes. You’ll need a valid learner’s permit or equivalent document per your state’s rules. We verify this before the first drive.
Can I use my own car?
Yes, if insured and roadworthy. Many learners start in our dual-control vehicles and transition to their own car when ready.
How do rescheduling and cancellations work?
You can reschedule up to 24 hours before your session without a fee. Late cancellations may incur a partial charge to cover instructor time.
Do you teach manual transmission?
Yes. We offer step-by-step clutch control, stall recovery, hill starts, and progressive shifting with patient cues and repetition.
Is night driving safe for beginners?
We recommend 2–3 daytime lessons before night modules. Night sessions focus on visibility routines, light etiquette, and calm mirror scanning.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major cards and invoice for bundles. No cash required on the day of your lesson.
Can parents ride along?
Yes, when safe and space permits. We’ll provide a quiet coaching script so family support aligns with our cues.
